Hi, I’m Emily!

I am a coach, speaker and writer focused on the intersection of grief and spirituality. I am the Founder of Umoya Institute, and created the DreamRx self-paced online training for people who want to connect with deceased loved ones through dreams. I am an experienced public speaker covering topics such as Navigating Holiday Grief, Navigating the Workplace While Grieving, and Waking Up to Signs from the Other Side. Finally, I run the semiannual Umoya Renewal retreat, where participants learn to tap in to their own abilities to connect with loved ones who’ve passed away, through effective grief management, dream work, ritual and sign recognition and past-life regression.

In my “past life” as a financial coach, you may have seen me quoted in Martha Stewart Weddings, U.S. News & World Report, MSN, Weddingwire, Yahoo! Finance, Bustle, Best Life Magazine, MarketWatch, Brit+Co, The Muse, Girlboss, and Work+Money, among others.

I’m a certified Whole Person Coach with training accredited by the International Coach Federation. I completed advanced training through the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching and now specialize in the complexities of grief and spiritual connection after loss. I’ve spoken in front of crowds of hundreds at corporate-sponsored events and have navigated grief in the workplace both as a participant and as an expert in the field.

I’ve trained under world-renowned therapist and past-life expert Carol Bowman to effectively facilitate past-life regressions with a focus on “life between life” spiritual contact. I’m also a Reiki Master and generally tuned in to the spiritual world.

In my work with Umoya Institute, I blend practical real-world knowledge, training and insights with intuitive and energetic senses to help people unlock their own capacity to connect with loved ones on the other side.

When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually exploring the forest, traveling to new parts of the world (most recently, Morocco, Spain and Portugal!), and spending time with family and friends.
